EXTRA...EXTRA....READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!

Check out the front page of the Giddings Times and News Wedding Planner featuring my bridal portrait of the most beautiful bride, Courtney Melcher from Lee County. It's a huge honor to be recognized in this publication.  The wedding guide has lots of great information for brides and anyone planning the party of the year.  Not only did my picture land the front page, read the great article written by my best friend and biggestfan, Lori Hamff-Diez...she is the owner of The Event Company...COMING SOON to Lee County!  I couldn't be more excited to be partnered up with her for most of the events she plans.  So,if I'm not taking pictures, I can be found arranging flowers or draping chairs with fancy linens!

New Year...New Post

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times....I am HORRIBLE about updating this site!!  So it's a new year and I"ll try to do better.  I've added several galleries from shoots in 2014.  You should be able to access the online gallery of photos taken on Salt Gras 2015 via the link posted on my home page.  If it doesn't work, someone please let me know ASAP!

I hope everyone is having a fanastic new year as we slide into March on ice, literally.  I'm over the cold weather already.  In case you were wondering.  I'm ready for sunshine, warmer temperatures and longer days.  That means more time to take pictures!  I'm happy to say, without much effort my calendar is filling up fast.  If you're interested in a session with me, please contact me so we can get it on the books.  I hate to turn anyone away but I am at times forced to prioritze my time.  So that being said...let me take a minute to explain.  I'm a single mom of a beautiful 5 year old little girl.  Of course she is my best friend.  You might just get to meet her one day if you schedule a session with me because often, she's right by my side.  I do work full time for an oilfield company in Giddings, Texas.  Though my schedule is flexible, I'm extremely dedicated to my work there. So photography comes second.  It does take me a little longer sometimes to get your pictures back to you.  I appreciate my clients' patience with me and please know that I'm working very hard to get your pictures back to you as soon as possible.

I'm very anxious to post pictures from a wedding I shot in Center, TX a couple of weeks ago!  If you're here and looking for those pictures, please check back...I'm working on them and will post them very soon, I promise!!!

Saltgras day 1.

Welcome to my site and thanks for taking the time to look around if you've never been here before. I haven't posted on this blog in a very long while but I'll do my best to keep it going this week. I'm fixing to head out to join the Saltgras Trailriders and of course take lots of pictures as they make their way to Houston! I didn't make it to camp yesterday. Between my full time job requirements on Friday, the cops, my computer and a little mishap with a locked door at home I didn't get to bed until almost 3am. I got some sleep and I'm all packed and ready to go! See ya soon, hopefully with some pictures!

October 7, 2013

I don't know about everyone else, but I have been BUSY!!  I don't even know where to begin!!  This past summer I was asked to shoot the 2014 art bra calendar.  This is a pretty special deal and it's near and dear to my heart since several of my friends have been affected by breast cancer.  The calendar is being unveiled tomorrow evening at the 7th annual Pink ribbon Affair in Giddings, Texas.  It has been a huge honor to be a part of such a special event.

I've made several trips to the beach this summer.  I am in love with the beach!  I think I could live there.  Quite easily in fact.  But since my real job is in Giddings, I'll have to stay here for now.  Lots of great memories made this summer though...here is one of my favorites of my daughter Presley, and her best friend Charlotte playing in the sand.

And then there was the Trailride for Diabetes Awareness in September.  Can I say "WOW!"  These people were over-the-top-just-plain-NICE!!  I was taken aback by the number of compliments I received during this event.  But the biggest compliment of them all was the invite I received to become the OFFICIAL SALTGRAS TRAILRIDE PHOTOGRAPHER!!!  OMGEEEE!  Haha, I still don't know how I am going to pull this off, but with the help of my good friend Lori Hamff-Diez...I'm sure it will be amazing!  It's not all official just yet, but I'll keep you posted.  The ride leaves out in February for 8 days and is known as a vacation to some.  I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of such a historic event.  Here's a picture below of the trailboss himself, Mr. Dickie Davis.

Two weeks later I found myself shooting rodeo photography at the Lee County Sheriff's Posse Arena.  A play day for the youngest cowboys and girls of them all!  It was so much fun to watch the horses and kids work so hard.  I was a little jealous that I didn't have a horse to ride myself, however, I learned from the trailride that it is impossible to take pictures from the back of a horse.  So I kept my feet planted firmly on the ground.  Here is a few of my favorites from the day.

This evening I'm shooting Happy 1 year Birthday pics for a little one in Lincoln, Texas.

And this weekend I'll be back at the beach.  Yep!  I'm going back!!  This time for a little work though.  I'm shooting a beach wedding in Port Aransas, Texas at sunset on Saturday evening.

November has a few special things planned too.  I'm doing bridals for a longtime special friend in San Antonio.  I'm keeping the location a surprise on this one, but you will not want to miss these pictures.  I expect them to be over the top BEAUTIFUL!!  The wedding for this one will be in December, also in San Antonio.  Novemeber 16th is the date for the Diabetes Awareness Fun Run in Leobeau, Texas.  Lori is in charge of this one too, so of course I've agreed to be there with my camera in hand.
